The Company of Wilona's Sails has hired on it's first employees! I got contacted the other night by Brannah, an up-and-coming enchantress about possible times for interviews, and after talking things over with Apillini, we decided to cut to the chase and start them already! Turns out, though, that she didn't come alone! Brannah also brought along two other people who'd made a mention of interest in the Company some time ago: Enig and Aveline, an abjurer-fighter loveship of the oddest of sorts. Enig's a wizard of Mystra, and Aveline's a devout Helmite, which sounds like a strange pairing, to say the least, but it don't matter to me, not my business now, is it?

Anyway, we put the three of them through some tough interviews, Apillini and I. She of the sharp tongue softened them up, and I swept in to pour on the pressure! The lot of them did well, though, and Apillini and I were rather impressed, so we rewarded the three direct afterwards with their initiation into the Company.

I have since had a bad hangover, hence my lateness in putting quill to parchment to record this momentous event. I can finally say that the Company of Wilona's Sails is up and fully operational! All our hard work and patience has paid off, and we now have our very own Headquarters! We have a home!

If that ain't enough, turns out that Thiellik isn't dead! He's come back not long after the completion of the headquarters and seems like the same brainless friend we thought we lost years ago!

We've currently been working on securing business deals with numerous companies, and have been looking into possible recruits for members of the Company, while I've personally taken an interest in Waukeen, the Lady of Trade, whose church funded the building of our headquarters in the first place. Just today, I was tasked by the Lady Herself to go and free a merchant's daughter from the evil grasp of the brood of goblins in the Howling Peaks! with the help of Silverstar Lunette Sandail, we easily dispatched all in our way and rescued the girl, getting her back to Waterdeep with little hassle. I'm resting as I write this, on my way to Zazzesspur again to meet with the Holycoin of the Church of Waukeen beside the Headquarters, to see if I can't learn some things about this Goddess of Money. Never thought I'd see the day where I'd find a Goddess of Money. My trip to the Calim in the south was...interesting, to say the least. I met not only one, but three Talassans on the road to Calimport. Needless to say, they looked capable of breaking things, so I just slipped on the ol' Wyllium charm and played myself off as fairly harmless. One of them, a female half-devil or something, seemed to take an interest in me. This could turn into a lucrative opportunity if I play the cards properly. Sad news, even though I never knew the Lorekeeper all that well. I knew his wife somewhat, one of the Silverstars, Lunette. She was always very nice and treated a fella with kindness. I send my condolences to her, as well as Kladian's sister, Tandria, a high mage of Mystra, whom I also have never really had a chance to get to know.

It's always hard when someone moves on, even if it's to a good end. Theillik's passing a few years ago was difficult for all of us, especially Apillini and me. He had travelled with us when all the others were settling down into their new lives. We weren't ready for that, so we kept on adventuring. We knew the risks. But as hard as it was to accept the loss of such a longtime friend, we all knew he would not want us to sit around crying about it, so we didn't.

I can only hope Lunette and Tandria are able to find the strength to move on, just like we did, and honor his memory in their living.

Construction is going great! We'll need to get into the heart of the people to find good workers to fill the ranks of our Company once the headquarters is finally done. It seems, though, that we won't have an easy time of it. The little halfling brat Griggs Brierfeet, who -claims- to be a journalist, is spewing gossip about Apillini and trying to defame our reputation before we even have the Company fully operational! The Company is getting its own Headquarters! Finally, looks like we're gonna be moving up in the world. About time, too, considering all we've done to get here...

It'll soon be time to set down roots and start growing the company out, recruiting more workers, managing clientelle, overseeing payments, shipments...it's gonna be interesting for the next little while...!

Just on a side note...why the Hells does everyone think they can push everyone else around just because they think it's fine...? Two incidents, one that I saw, and one that I experienced, are making the wait to move to Zazzesspur way to long for me to handle. I first witnessed a hopeful Waterdeep Watch member, I learned later his name was Wrevas, SHOVE a Watch Wizard completely out of the area, probably about a good fifteen to twenty foot distance, because he was casting spells in Market Square. I dunno about anyone else, but the Watch Wizards are the ONLY people I'd feel comfortable allowing spellcasting for, and I CERTAINLY wouldn't be shoving him around if he were to be my future superior! The Watch Wizard turned on him and revoked his recruitment, ending his very short career as a hopeful Watch member. Then shortly after this, another Watch member, Raona Corbin, some Tyrran, flew into Apillini for ragging out Wrevas for being an idiot! It's great when we have Watchmen and Watchwomen sticking up for their friends who are enrolled to join and condone them pushing others around as they see fit.

The second incident involved myself, and, to this day, I still don't know whether or not it involved the Watch or not. I was minding my own business in Market Square, chatting with a pair of Sunite ladies, when -another- Tyrran shows up, this one a priestess named Maybel. She takes one look at me and tells me I should sheathe my blades! Now, keeping in mind that I always like to be ready for the worst, I was not holding my sword or stiletto in any form of violent manner, so I politely asked her to show me her Watch badge, to which she either could or would not. I cared not if it -was- a could or would situation, the matter pissed me off enough that I simply felt the urge to leave, so I mockingly sheathed the just before exiting the area.

It seems to me like the faithful of Tyr are turning into that which they despise begin called, Tyrants. May Zazzesspur be populated with many more intelligent and common-sensical folk who don't throw their beliefs in everyone's face and shove people they don't like around the market whenever they please.

Camped here in the Howling Peaks, secretly hiding away in the shadows, I decided it'd be a great idea to start writing some stuff down.

My name, by the way, is Wyllium Haversack. I'm an up and coming adventurer, one of the best in the biz at the moment, folks'll tell you as much, trying to start up an adventuring company to do jobs all across Faerun. The Company is gonna be named after the vessel me and my crew forst travelled on, The Wilona, with the Company going by the name of The Company of Wilona's Sails. Catchy, but I still think it should have been named after me.

But yeah, I'm camping with unknowing goblins. It's not the most luxurious job, but you gotta get famous somehow, and everything needs a start. It's not like anyone but my crew believes the tales I tell anyway, even though they're true, but I might get into those later.

I keep talking about my crew, and never get around to naming them. Our crew, in the beginning, consisted of myself, my once-enemy-now-companion Apillini Fadden, a human bard, of sorts, with a hot temper and no qualms about speaking her mind, the halfling warrior, Theillik Riphouduso, who's definitely more brawn than brains, the gnomish druid Shamus, one of the weirdest druids I've ever met, the human cleric Krassius, who's just plain crazy sometimes, the moon elf ranger Fei-Long, who usually ended up being the calming member of the group, and Wilona, the female gnome for whom the ship was named for, and the first gnome woman I'd ever seen with a beard...

Looks like the sun's coming up. Now that I got a chance to high-tail it, I'm not gonna waste it. I may write in this thing again, soon.
